Precautions After Window Film Installation

Car Life Series Products: Quality Guaranteed
※Please check if your vehicle has the Car Life identification sticker. If not, please obtain one from the original installation shop.
1. Within 7-10 days after installation, please note the following:
◆Do not raise or lower car windows within 12 hours after installation.
◆Do not vigorously wipe and clean the glass.
◆Due to the water spraying required during the installation process, it is normal to see small water beads and foggy moisture for up to a week until the water dries. This phenomenon will gradually disappear as the water evaporates within 1-4 weeks (depending on weather conditions).
2. Within one month after installation, please do not activate the defogger on the rear windshield.
3. For daily cleaning, simply wipe gently with water using a sponge or soft cloth. Do not use brushes or volatile solvents for cleaning.
4. The presence of moisture, bubbles, and fog is normal (7-15 days in summer, 30-45 days in winter). Once the moisture evaporates, the original color will be restored automatically.
How long after getting the window tint can I wash my car?
You can wash your car after tinting, but please do not open or close the windows or forcefully wipe the inside of the glass for 3 to 5 days after the tint film has been installed.
Bubbles and other issues after insulation film installation
After window film installation, it is normal for there to be moisture, bubbles, and a cloudy appearance. These will disappear (within 7-15 days in summer, and 30-45 days in winter) as the moisture evaporates, and the film will return to its original color.
Questions regarding the store's installation techniques or other related issues?
If there is excessive grit, please wait for the water to dry, then promptly report it to your original installer. If your installer does not address the issue, please provide photos so we can understand the situation, and we will then ask our regional representative to mediate for you.
Can a second layer of window film be applied?
Hello, it's possible to apply another layer, but it depends on the condition of the original window film! If the existing film has faded, bubbled, or is in poor condition, it's recommended to remove it and apply a new one. You can visit a window tinting shop, where professional technicians will help you make the correct assessment.
Why is the window film hazy after installation?
Within 14 days of the thermal film installation, moisture may still remain in the film. This is normal, and the film will become clear again once the moisture dissipates.
What kind of situations are not covered by the warranty?
- If natural degumming, bubbling, or peeling occurs, please return to the original installation store for a free replacement. Scratches or abrasions caused by human factors are not covered by this warranty.
- Product warranty is not available without online registration. If the warranty card is lost, a paper warranty card will not be reissued.
- Defects caused by improper installation techniques, such as excessive grit, or unadhered and翘起 edges.
- Decorative items using strong suction cups, where human factors cause suction cups to damage the window film by bubbling.
- If this product is installed on existing old window film, bubbles and gaps between the two layers of window film may occur.
- Hard objects placed on the dashboard, which may collide and damage the window film during braking.
- For some car models, the window glass has raised mesh black dots around the edges. The film may peel off at these locations due to inability to adhere completely.
- During window film installation, due to the environment and tools used not being completely dust-free, some lint and small amounts of grit are inevitable. However, the grit will decrease as the moisture dries. If there is excessive grit, it is recommended that the owner wait for the moisture to dry and then promptly contact the original installation unit for resolution.
- If defects occur due to improper installation techniques by the installation store.
- Due to different defogger line designs (environmentally friendly materials) from various manufacturers, the defogger lines are not covered by the warranty when replacing window film.
- Damage to the window film caused by aging of the window weatherstrip rubber when raising or lowering the window.
